  1. Mine are not cracker crispy. Dare i cook them more? I am afraid of overcooking. Precious ingredients. Thank you

    • Nancy, thanks for your comment! Happy to help and I have a few ideas. First, my recipes are brand specific, did you use one of the brands of almond flour used in this post:

Also, I find that rolling the dough out thin can help with crispiness. In fact, I keep a tape measure in the kitchen to make sure I roll the dough out to the measurement I specify in each recipe. Finally, if your crackers aren’t as crispy as you want, you can put them back in the oven at 150 degrees for 20-30 minutes to dry them out. LMK if you have any other questions or if there is any other way I can help :-)

  2. These are delicious as is, but if you want to make them even better, try mixing a tablespoon or two of an “everything bagel” seasoning in to the dough! I’ve been making them like this for the past month and they are now my go-to cracker. Thanks for a great recipe, Elana!

    • Trina, thanks for your comment! I haven’t tried that so not sure. I do have a recipe for vegan crackers in my third book, Paleo Cooking from Elana’s Pantry, on page 45. You can get the book on, or wherever books are sold :-)

    • Flax egg. Just ground flax and water. The cracker will look and taste different, but they are so good!!!

  3. Can these be made days in advance and stored in air right container? I am thinking of making on wed and serving on saturday.

    • Chris, thanks for your comment! I think that will work very well if you store in an airtight container and refrigerate them :-)

  4. Love these as does my husband. He revolted over my Flackers but these he will eat. Thank you for an awesome way to enjoy some crunch. I’ve been playing with different ways to spice up but to be honest the straight recipe is pretty amazing as is.

    • Dawn, thanks for letting me know these crackers are amazing! Glad to hear your husband is enjoying them too :-)

  5. I just made these crackers and I can’t stop eating them. Very good. I think I’ll try putting garlic and onion powder next.

  6. Wonderful, easy recipe! Elana, this a God-send! I am 7 weeks pregnant with my third, and yuck, nausea and morning sickness are rearing their ugly heads. Most of my regular snacks make me sick to think about. I want salty stuff, and I just can’t find good, gluten-free crackers from the store that don’t have scary ingredients. Then I remembered you have cracker recipes. I just made this today. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Easy and tasty, and I can even slip a piece of cheese on the cracker if I want! Next week, I’m making your goldfish crackers. Thank you for making recipes that us busy mothers don’t have to slave over in the kitchen for hours! Bless you!

    • Courtney, thanks for letting me know this recipe is a God-send! I hope your pregnancy goes as smoothly as possible, morning sickness is the worst!
