Low-Carb Condiments
We like to serve these with mustard which is a great low-carb condiment. Most store-bought ketchup has added sugar, but Primal Kitchen ketchup does not so we use that. The boys like to eat these with Cholula sauce to add a spicy kick! I’m a purist at heart and prefer my corn doggies plain. What’s your favorite corn dog sauce for dipping?
Dairy-Free Keto Snack Recipe
It’s so hard to find good dairy-free keto recipes. But these Low-Carb Corn Dog Muffin bites are perfect. I’ve been on a gluten-free diet since 1998. I went on a low-carb grain-free diet in 2001 and it’s been so helpful, I’ve stuck with it ever since.
More Low-Carb Keto Snack Recipes
Here are more healthy gluten-free, low-carb snack recipes for you. I spend quite a bit of time developing my recipes so that they have as few ingredients as possible and work every time!
Salt and Pepper Crackers
I make these Salt and Pepper Crackers at least twice a month, they’re the perfect grain-free low-carb snack. If you can have dairy, these are terrific with my homemade goat cheese recipe. If you’re on a Dairy-Free Diet, serve with my healthy homemade Guacamole –the perfect keto dip recipe.
Keto Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich
Sometimes we eat my Keto Peanut Butter and Jelly as a full sandwich, but when the boys were little I cut them into squares and served platters of these for after school snacks. The boys had no idea the peanut butter and jelly sammie they were eating was nutrient-dense, low-carb, and healthy.
Goldfish Crackers
Who doesn’t love those adorable orange fish-shaped Goldfish Crackers? It always brightened my day when I’d find them in my lunch box. Now you can make your own homemade goldfish crackers and relive that lunch moment all over again!

Okay, didn’t have time to wait for a reply…it turned out great without the flaxmeal. Even my non-Keto family members liked them. Of course, since I haven’t tried it with the flax meal, I don’t know what I am missing.
Elana says
M, thanks for letting me know that even your non-keto family members liked these muffins!
M. Moore says
What does the flax meal do in this recipe? I don’t have any and I am in the middle of an ice storm without the opportunity to get any. Can this be made without it?
Elana says
M. it helps with the flavor, texture, and color in this recipe :-)
Mary Louise says
Would it work to spray the pan instead of using paper liners?
Elana says
Mary Louise, I haven’t tried that so not sure :-)
Nicole R. says
I just sprayed my pans instead of using paper liners and it worked out perfect.

Elana,
Is there a difference between golden flaxmeal and bob’s ground flax meal? Wondering about consistency differences or flavor? I think you used to use bob’s years ago, but I could be wrong on that. Anyway, that is what I have on hand right now. I’m good with experimenting, just like to have info when I’m considering substitutions. Thanks!
Elana says
Alexis, I haven’t tried that flaxmeal in this recipe so not sure if it will work :-)
Renee says
These are fabulous! My husband and I ate half of them for lunch yesterday and the other half today with mustard and relish. Super super good!!! Thanks!
Elana says
Renee, thanks so much for letting me know these are super super good! We love them too :-)

Carli J Goeman says
I have never used flaxmeal, but I have quinoa flakes, do you know if the consistency is similar? I’m hoping to make these for tomorrow!
Elana says
Carli, thanks for your comment! I haven’t tried that so not sure. I gave up quinoa in 2001 when I went grain-free and haven’t had it since. Sorry I can’t be more helpful :-)
Cindy Fraser says
Hey Elena
Is the ground flaxseed crucial to the outcome of the dough or just a healthy add in? I don’t have any. Could I grind up chia seeds instead?
Thanks!
Elana says
Cindy, I haven’t tried making this without flaxmeal so not sure if it will work. Feel free to experiment :-)
Susan Z. says
Quinoa is 64% carbohydrate, so wouldn’t that defeat the purpose of a Keto recipe? Or am I missing something?
Elana says
Susan, I totally agree, but some folks are here for gluten-free recipes as well :-)
Ann Marie Fleet says

What a clever idea! This would have been perfect for the chili cook-off we had at the office last week, but I’ll keep it in mind for next time. Thank you, and blessings on your day.
