Hi Elana, This looks delicious! I haven’t tried it yet, but all of your recipes that I have made make my life with NCGS (non-celiac gluten sensitivity) much easier to navigate. A question for you: I’m wondering if you would consider providing weight measurements (in grams) in your recipes for ingredients such as almond flour, since it makes the measurement much more accurate and the end result much more consistent? Thanks for considering it and thanks for all of your wonderful recipes ♥️
Elana says
Cate, I would love to do that! Unfortunately with 1,000 recipes here on the website it would take an incredible amount of time and money to invest in doing so. Also, when I post recipes by weight I get a ton of complaints about it. I wish our entire system would switch over one of these years, and thanks so much for your feedback :-)
Diana Hereld says
I genuinely apologize for asking, but since I haven’t used egg white protein powder (and am skeptical about just subbing egg whites) – is egg white protein powder an ingredient I could use with lots of keto things? Is there a brand you recommend macro-wise? This looks lovely! Thank you! :-)
Diana Hereld says
Ah – I knew this would happen – the second I asked, I noticed you can click on the item and it took me right to a link. Solved my own problem – Sorry about that! :)
Elana says
Diana, no problem :-)
Elana says
Diana, no need to apologize! I’m here to help! Here’s a link to all of my recipes that use egg white protein powder:

Can I substitute flax eggs? I have a cholesterol problem. Thanks for all your fantastic recipes.
Elana says
Sabeena, I havaen’t tried that so not sure, but when I have tried it in my other grain-free bread recipes it hasn’t ever worked. :-)
Denise Krueger says
I made this bread and substituted beaten egg whites for egg protein powder I beat them till they were thicker. Then let them set till I mixed all the other ingredients and folded them in. I also added vinegar for the cream of tartar same amount a d white I think i could of used apple cider and I added a little more vanilla stevia. I could’ve baked it a little less but it turned out great I enjoyed it very much!!
Elana says
Thanks Denise!

Mary-Cate says
What is the point of the egg powder?
Elana says
Mary-Cate, it is integral to the structure of the bread :-)
jody says
Hi, I’m new to your site. This looks wonderful and I’m going to try but would like to experiment with a whole egg. I prefer to use fresh, whole ingredients, and wonder about using just the egg white. Why would you not use the yolk? Does it not lend itself well to the structure of the bread? Thank you!
Elana says
Jody, I use egg white protein powder in this recipe, I haven’t tried using egg white, or whole eggs in place of that so not sure if that would work. If you do experiment I hope you’ll report back :-)
Yvonne says
Can you replace the egg white protein powder with real egg whites? If so, how many?
Elana says
Yvonne, I haven’t tried that so not sure :-)
Adina says
Will the recipe work without egg white protein powder?
Elana says
Adina, I would not recommend that :-)
Wendy says
Is there a substitution I can use for the vanilla stevia? Thank you!
Elana says
Wendy, I haven’t tried that so not sure :-)
