This post is an oldie but goodie from the archives. I first shared this 2-Ingredient Chocolate Pudding recipe in 2016.
since I discovered this pudding recipe years ago, it became a staple in my home and I have forwarded the recipe to sooo many people around the world!!!!! It is delicious, easy and rich… I love it! the trick is to get the right coconut milk… if it is too rich you´ll have to remove from the fridge a little earlier to enjoy a more creamy consistency… if the milk is less dense, leave it chilling until the last minute… anyways, always a treat! Thank you Elana
Dolores, thank you for your wonderful comment!
What size can coconut milk do you use?
Mary, we’ve updated the recipe with this thanks to you!
PEGGY HOUSEPIAN says
Do you use the whole can of coconut milk or just the cream part?
Peggy, whole can :-)
All I can say, is thanks again for all your valuable info. All those years of trail and error. The pudding is such a comfort. It is all I can do, but limit how much I am making it. I go thru things so fast, and since I only leave my house when I go get a blood test, that eliminates shopping. It is very hard to stay on top of the pandemic. I just wish I could lose weight faster. It has a tendency to get you down. Thanks to wonderful people like you, who share from the heart. Love and hugs thru the air. Bless you
Judy, sending you so much love as we all struggle to get through this pandemic together. Have you seen my recent article on intermittent fasting? Many people find this health strategy accelerates weight loss:
LMK if you have any questions and hang in there!
I have made this delicious and simple pudding many times. Since I don’t follow a paleo of vegan diet, I add a couple tablespoons of butter after the chocolate is melted. Yum.
Ann, thanks so much for letting me know this is a delicious and simple pudding!
Can this be done with whole milk?
Fred, I haven’t tried that so not sure :-)
Mine didn’t set up thick. I reheated it next day and added gelatin. It set up then. I can’t understand why?
Goldie, thanks for your comment! This usually happens when a milk chocolate or semi-sweet is used rather than the dark chocolate called for in the recipes :-)

Now that I read you are going to eliminate some recipes I need to be sure this one in particular remains in your website… I had shared this recipe so many times that I cannot count them… it is really easy, tasty, fulfilling and rich, decadent, delicious!!! Thank you so much Elana for the creation of this marvelous dessert
Dolores, thanks for letting me know this recipe is rich, decadent, and delicious! For others joining the conversation, we are referring to this post:
Es leche de coco o aceite de coco? Busco por grasa de leche de coco y no encuentro nada. Gracias…
Julia, if you click the highlighted text that says “coconut milk” in the ingredients portion of the recipe you will be taken to the exact product I use, in Spanish I think it’s called leche de coco :-)
I add a pinch of Himalayan sea salt for mineral content, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract for taste. To stay true to the season I was adding a (homemade) pumpkin spice this fall, about a teaspoon will do. And also, because my kiddo is an athlete and burns calories before food reaches his intestines, I add a tablespoon of MCT oil to it in hope he want ask for food in next 10 minutes. In fact (I hope he won’t read this) I can also hide a scoop of collagen powder in this pudding, as we as a scoop of a bone broth powder. Deliscious! He loves it! It gives me piece of mind to concentrate on cooking something)))
Natalya, thanks for letting me know this pudding is delicious!
