Paleo Stuffed Dates are made with 5 healthy ingredients and are super easy to throw together. This healthy paleo candy recipe calls for dates, pistachios, orange juice, orange zest, and a pinch of sea salt. I think of fruit as nature’s candy and I love using it to make healthy dessert recipes.

Dates were first cultivated in the Middle East and have been a culinary staple in that part of the world for thousands of years. Now, dates are used throughout the world to add flare to savory dishes and to sweeten desserts. They are also eaten plain since they are so rich, delicious, and healthy.

Dates are very sweet, but since they are an excellent source of energy, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, they are considered a healthy food. I hope you love this Paleo Stuffed Dates recipe as much as we do!

    • Hi Karen, yes, after you make them, place them in a pyrex dish, press the lid on and store in the fridge :-)

    • Martha, if you click on the green text in the ingredients portion of the recipe you will be given that info :-)

  1. Elana, I love that you have so many recipes that are also dairy free. I am vegan and appreciate it! This recipe looks divine and oh so lush :) fatty pistachios and sugary dates all in one, I will have to find some restraint if I make them!

  2. What a treat it was to stumble upon this recipe!! It was randomly on the side bar in your Flickr photos and I recognized that there was a date in the photo so I clicked. I have an unhealthy obsession with medjool dates! ….Like no self control when they are in the house. I have just finished off the extras from my husband’s pie baking experiment and must say I am sugared out. This looks so yummy though! I will print this recipe but refrain from making it until a special occasion.
Thank you for the treat xoxo

    • Hi CoconutGal, hope you are well. Yup, dates are a challenge for me too. I have to be very moderate with them because they are so sweet. And they are so yummy. If you make these I hope you enjoy them. The pistachios slow down the sugar a little in this recipe :-)

  3. I have just come across your blog and I love it. These look so delicious! I am a GREAT fan of Celtic Sea salt and use it exclusively. Love the taste and its health benefits too.
