Passover Menu

My mother and father will be spending Passover with us and I am really looking forward to it.  Mom and I will be in the kitchen all day today preparing for our gluten free Seder –she has celiac too, as do my older son, sister and mother-in-law.  Gluten free is a family affair for us.

Here’s what we’ll be making for Passover 2010.  Pretty much my standard Passover Seder menu.

Looking for a gluten free matzo recipe?  Try Tovah’s Gluten Free Mock Matzo over at Gluten Free Bay.

It’s great to be back home surrounded by family after last week’s media events up in the mountains.  I had a fun book signing at The Bookworm in Edwards, Colorado (proceeds were donated to the fabulous Gore Range Science School) and I was also on TV8 Vail for a whopping 15 minutes (may I please bore you?).

This morning I had a radio interview about my book with Lisa Davis on the It’s Your Health program which was great fun.  If you haven’t seen my book, The Gluten-Free Almond Flour Cookbook, you can buy it at most local book stores or take a look on where it sells for only $11.55.

Also this month I wrote an article called “Almond Flour: the New Superfood?” for Shape magazine.  If you have a chance, check it out, my recipes for Chicken and Dumpling Soup with Red Peppers and Spinach, Asparagus and Goat Cheese Pizza and Pancakes with Blueberry-Peach Sauce are included. also featured my Walnut Rosemary Cookies from The Gluten-Free Almond Flour Cookbook in their Healthy Eating section.

Happy Gluten-Free Passover to all!

  1. I remember having my introduction to matzoh ball soup at the Amsterdam home in Davis back in the day, and so in your honor I’ll be cooking up this almond flour version tonight…along with the carrot kugel this weekend, yummy! Say hi to your family for me.

  2. Thanks for the Passover recipes! It will be fun to do–we love to celebrate with a seder meal while we are celebrating the resurrection of Christ.

  3. I made your carrot kugel for our passover today and it was fantastic. EASY to make & my girlfriend suggested it also be a fantastic dessert (with a little whipped cream) as it tasted like a pumpkin pie square. I love having you as my “go to” source for gluten-free Jewish Holidays. I made some of your recipes for my Chanukah dinner this year and everything turned out great. You are my first stop for recipes because they are guaranteed to be good for all my guests and healthy. Thank you!!!

  4. We’re going to celebrate the Easter holiday with your gluten-free menu. And in some ways, this gives homage to my lost and forgotten Jewish heritage… Plus I’ve been craving Matzoh Ball Soup! Yours is divine. Happy Passover and Happy Easter!
