Healthy Goldfish Crackers Recipe

This low-carb goldfish crackers recipe is a bit sentimental for me since I grew up on processed, packaged goldfish crackers as a kid.

How to Make Homemade Goldfish Crackers

As you might imagine, cutting out dozens of tiny goldfish crackers can take a bit of time. If you want to save time and would enjoy a cracker that is more like a gluten-free Cheez-It, simply cut the dough into squares after you roll it out on the parchment paper, and then transfer the parchment paper (dough and all) to the baking sheet.

Grain-Free Goldfish Crackers

If you’re wondering if these are Paleo goldfish crackers, the answer is, I don’t know. It depends on what your definition of Paleo is. It depends on which foods your body can digest. It depends on what you consider a real food. I can tell you for sure though that these are grain-free goldfish crackers and that my boys and I love them!

Use Organic Dairy in Goldfish Crackers Recipe

Be sure to use organic dairy when you make this recipe. We use organic dairy in our house as it is better for the children, the cows, and our environment overall, and we do not wish to support the regular use of antibiotics in animal husbandry.

  1. Yes Elena,
I would love to try a dairy free version. My grandson is allergic to all dairy and in his day care center the snack is frequently “goldfish” crackers. He gets a substitute, but if you have a better substitute, great!!

  2. Thank you for sharing this recipe, Elana! This is a great way to offer to my friends who are starting out keto. Love it!

  3. I can’t wait to try this for my little sister. I recently discovered she was gluten intolerant when I detected she had really bad skin inflammation on the back of her arms. Both my older brother and I had long abandoned gluten because of our intolerance, but the rest of our family seemed okay with it. But not my little sister. She’s struggling to find snacks she enjoys, despite the variety offered in stores. And because my mom and I do Keto, this recipe looks perfect. Thank you so much, Elana! You’ve been so helpful to my family with your wonderful recipes. In the past both of my brothers were following a Paleolithic diet, and as a cook myself, I found your page to be a goldmine. Truly a wealth of information. Thank you so much for all your hardwork and dedication to making these foods available for us. I have bought all of your books and will continue to support you till the end, my friend <3

    • Reem, your comment made my day, if not week and month! Thank you for your sweet words and support. I hope you’ll keep me posted on how your little sister is doing. Big hugs to you and your family :-)

      • I will! And I must say, it’s been so sweet watching your boys grow. I feel like I’ve known them since they were little. I am such a recluse on the web. I’m trying to be more vocal about things. You are an awesome Mom, Educator, Role Model, and many other things in between. I have referred more people to your page than I have to any other blogger in my life. You can’t imagine how much you mean to us. Especially when I first found you. I was young and couldn’t even drive. I also struggled with my weight. Without trying, you made weight-loss happen for me. It stayed off and I felt great! I have your keto flax bread in the oven (my mom is dying for carbs haha). I can’t wait till it’s done. I already know it’s going to be delicious because I have never had a recipe by you not work. Blessings to you, your family, and your health <3 <3 <3

        • Reem, what a lovely comment! The boys are now in college if you can believe that. And it sounds like you’ve been a reader here for a VERY long time and have practically grown up with them! I’m so very lucky to get to be on this healing, healthy food journey with you. Big hugs!!!
