I created this easy Mint Chocolate Chip Keto Fat Bombs recipe a decade ago when the term fat bomb didn’t exist, and being in ketosis wasn’t such a big deal.
Back then, the Keto Diet was practically unheard of unless you were receiving it as a treatment for pediatric epilepsy at Johns Hopkins.
What Are Keto Fat Bombs?
So let’s get started. First, what are keto fat bombs? Fat bombs are small bite-sized snacks made of fatty foods that help you burn fat for fuel and stay in ketosis.
This recipe for ketogenic fat bombs is full of healthy fat and has seven ingredients total –coconut oil, coconut butter, macadamia butter, peppermint, dark chocolate, stevia, and salt.
Why Eat Keto Fat Bombs
We love Mint Chocolate Chip Keto Fat Bombs because they’re so tasty. These no-bake fat bombs fill us with fat, rather than carbs which turn into glucose. Check out Intermittent Fasting for Beginners to understand the benefits of burning fat for fuel, and learn how the Keto Diet fools your body into thinking it’s fasting.

Are Fat Bombs Vegan?
I’m often asked, “are fat bombs vegan?” That can go either way. This is a keto vegan fat bomb recipe since they’re made of coconut oil and nut butter, rather than the usual ghee or butter. My plant-based ingredients are perfect for vegan keto fat bombs, which in turn are dairy-free keto fat bombs.

Keto Fat Bombs Using Stevia
If you’re looking for keto fat bombs using stevia this is the recipe for you! Most keto fat bomb recipes use erythritol, a corn-based sugar substitute that I cannot digest –for more on that see What’s the Best Sweetener for the Keto Diet. I based this Mint Chocolate Chip Keto Fat Bombs recipe on one by Diane Sanfillipo, removing the sweetener and making other changes.
Keto Fat Bombs No Chocolate
If you’re looking for a keto fat bombs recipe with no chocolate, go ahead and make these without the chocolate chips. You’ll have a wonderful mint fat bomb.

Hello Elana!
It was so nice to finally connect with you at the luncheon, especially after being a follower of your blog for so many years! You are truly an inspiration…..I admire your dedication to wellness and health, not only for yourself but for sharing your knowledge and experiences with others. MS has brought its own blessings to me over time…it has been through this journey with this crazy disease that has truly helped me to grow and learn…and there was a time that I certainly didn’t think I’d ever say that!
Thanks so much for your blog and providing my family yummy delights…I so enjoy getting your emails! I hope our paths cross again someday!
Blessings to you and your family,
Paige

I just made these last night exactly as written, and they are delicious. I’m usually not a stevia fan, but I can’t taste it in these at all. Instead of making balls, I poured the blended batter onto a parchment lined baking sheet and refrigerated overnight. I just broke it up like bark, and the thin pieces are so yummy. Very rich taste for such a little treat. It’s so wonderful that it has health benefits as well! Guess I need to try more stevia recipes from this site. Thanks very much for this one. It’s a winner!!

Yum! I love peppermint and chocolate. It is my second favorite combo of flavors, the first being chocolate and peanut butter. ;) I’ve been researching the paleo diet and it really intrigued me. We even have a food truck where I live called the Caveman Truck and his food looks really good.
