It’s a vegetable revolution! They’re back. Vegetables, that is. They never really left, actually. Sometimes we just forget about them. This quick and easy veggie snack recipe takes about 10 minutes to make. The boys will eat them the moment they walk in the door from school. That bowl is usually empty by dinner.
Easy Veggie Snack
Ingredients
- 5 carrots
- 5 stalks celery
- 1 yellow pepper
Instructions
- Scrub carrots and rinse
- Wash celery
- Wash and deseed yellow pepper
- Chop veggies into sticks and place into a bowl
- Serve

Thanks for all of the great ideas! Gluten free dairy free food on the go for busy children is a challenge! Do you have any suggestions for a dinner type snack that they can eat on the run, will give them energy for their sport activities and tie them over until a late dinner?

This is exactly the trick I used as well, though I added the request that no one touch them before dinner. This proved irresistible, and all three kids have grown up loving vegetables.
