Lately, friends, family, and readers have been asking how I support my immune system. One of my favorite ways to do so is with Beekeeper’s Naturals. Thanks to this adorable company I don’t have to turn the traditional medicine cabinet into something natural on my own.
Carly Stein, the 20-something founder of Beekeeper’s Naturals, launched her line of bee based products in 2016 after years of investigative self-healing. That’s because growing up, Stein had a weak immune system and was unable to tolerate antibiotics. So she searched for her own cure and found it in the power of propolis, a substance created by bees to protect the hive against microbes and bacteria.
Although Beekeeper’s has a bunch of products, the below are my two favorites and the ones I keep on hand.
My favorite Beekeeper’s product is the propolis throat spray. I keep a bottle on my desk for when I get a little tickle in my throat, and my pantry is stocked with a back up supply for the rest of the family. I’m on a low-carb diet so the spray is perfect for me, since other products that come from bees can be high in carbohydrates.
B.Soothed is a new product that I’m very excited about. This magical combination of honey, elderberry, olive leaf extract, and more goodness, has been in Beekeeper’s development pipeline for two years. A cough syrup with non-toxic, non-pharmaceutical ingredients is something I can cheer about. The boys take it as directed, two teaspoons, straight up, while I prefer mine in a cup of hot water so that it’s like a honey-elderberry tea.
Carly’s company, Beekeeper’s Naturals, and its mission hold a special place in my heart. I’ve been working with Pesticide Action Network for more than two decades to protect our pollinators. Well over one-third of the world’s food supply is pollinator-dependent and bees are a critical part of our food chain.
Carly is not only on a mission to reinvent the medicine cabinet by getting rid of dirty over-the-counter remedies, she’s doing it while saving the bees. Yes, she dreams big! And yes, I’m a fan. I met Carly in 2019 and immediately fell in love with her.
We’ve been drinking a ton of my Turmeric Tea and Ginger Licorice Tea the past few weeks. Any time I feel a tickle in my throat I grab a mug and inhale the steamy goodness while I sip away. What are doing to support your immune system? Leave a comment and let me know, and update me on how you’re doing!

The cough syrup is amazing and soothing. it is so much better than over-the-counter cough syrups found in a typical pharmacy. Also, to boost my immune health I take turmeric with back pepper daily.
Thanks Bryson!
I love these products! My kids (Young adults in their 20s) are getting the spray in their Easter baskets this year
Thanks Meng!
Hi,
The beekeeper’s products look interesting, but I was also diagnosed with relapsing/remitting MS In 2009 and have always been told to stay away from things like Elderberry that could ramp up the immune system. Just wondering if you could please share your thoughts on that? I keep thinking I need to Do something to help my immune system during this pandemic, but also a little afraid of It causing problems.
Thank you.
Debby, I totally hear you on this. I limit my zinc intake for the same reason. But, when I feel I’m getting a bug, I’ll indulge in it a bit, same with elderberry. For me, with MS those types of things are not for everyday use. LMK if you have any other questions on this.I do know that drinking the Turmeric Tea daily, is fine for me even with my MS immune issues. Stay safe!
Thanks so much for your reply! There’s so much conflicting data and even doctors don’t seem to agree on the best course of action. Thank you for sharing what has been working for you.
Debby, you’re very welcome! I hope you’ll keep me posted on how you’re doing :-)
I will look into this product, because of the bees.
I use Sovereign Silver Immune Support daily when I feel a little tickle.
During my radiation for Cancer, this was what kept me in good health.
Not allowed anything with anti-bodies, fights the radiation.
Thank you for your blog. Stay well.
Joan, thanks for your comment and for reminding me to get my colloidal silver out of the pantry. I hope you are safe and well!

Moriah, that is a genius idea :-)
Love anything bees! Are these bees wild pollinators or are they bees-for-hire?
Erin, what a great question. I reached out to Carly et al and here’s what they said: Our bees are based in remote areas far from farmland and pesticides! Our beekeepers practice sustainable beekeeping and never overharvest or partake in commercial pollination services.
