The BookMarks Festival of Books and Authors is a massive event (with over 8,0000 people in attendance) held every September in the Downtown Arts District of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I’m thrilled to announce that I have been invited to be a featured author at this year’s BookMarks, held Saturday, September 7, 2013.
I will make two appearances for Bookmarks on Saturday, September 7th. First, I will be speaking on the Bookmarks’ Food for Thought Stage at 1pm, with a book signing to follow at 1:45. The general festival, including this event, is free and open to the public.
After the signing I will be doing a special event at Mary’s Diner at 4:30pm. This “Eat & Greet” will be a more intimate event limited to 35 people at a charge of $48. A dish (TBD) from my book will be served, and a copy of Paleo Cooking from Elana’s Pantry is included in the aforementioned charge. This event requires preregistration and you can register online.
If you live in the Triad area or happen to be visiting on September 7, I hope you’ll stop by this exciting festival and say hello!

I am sooo happy that I found your site!! I did a search for gluten free matzo ball soup — my son’s favorite and found your site! I am new to gluten free — and was in desperate need of inspiration… THANKS AGAIN :)
Much Love from SF Bay Area!

Frankly, I find this site initially having zip to do with food– simply giveaways, self-promotion, and professional self-marketing. All to your good, I guess, and you seem very successful at this endeavor, but the bottom line is your blog seems so full of ME, ME, Marketable social media ME…where’s the food?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for your seeming success, but my initial impression is a site all about promoting BRAND and SELF that I was totally turned off.
Where’s the beef?

There is no place for your hate on this site. Elana supplies many, many, many fabulous recipes for everyone at zero cost. She is promoting a wonderful book that I’m sure she has spent many hours laboring over. I see no problem with that, I even bought the book!
For someone so upset with her self-promotion, why did you include the address of your blog?
