Although some people claim that juicing is not great because you are discarding the fiber, I find that it works very well for me. Juicing helps me to consume a lot of extra vegetables that are packed with antioxidants. If I were to try to eat 3 cucumbers, 1 bunch of cilantro, a lime, a lemon, fresh mint from my garden, and a finger’s worth of ginger, it would take me 2 hours or so. I’d also get really bloated. By juicing I can supplement my already healthy diet that is filled with whole, fiber-rich green vegetables at every meal, with even more phytonutrients. I also love that I can drink my green juice on the go. Basically, you can tell that I’m a huge fan of the good green stuff!
I make green juice in the morning (after my hot water with lemon), and sometimes drink it before dinner in a wine glass, so that I can enjoy a healthy “drink” at cocktail hour.
