Elana’s Dose
I take 6 grams of fish oil per day, however in his book, The Paleo Solution, Robb Wolf recommends 1 gram of fish oil per 10 pounds of body weight for individuals with high levels of inflammation. As someone with a multiple sclerosis diagnosis I would fall into that category. Given that I weigh around 140 pounds, that would mean I more than double my dose of fish oil from 6 grams to 14 grams. Since fish oil has blood thinning properties, I am concerned that it could lead to a failure for me to easily clot blood when cut, so I will not increase my dose without speaking with my two main doctors first.
