The Best Paleo Christmas Cookie Recipes

These paleo Christmas cookie recipes are the perfect gluten-free, grain-free, healthy treats for the holidays. If you love baking as much as I do, then you absolutely feel compelled to make cookies for your paleo celebrations! If you eat as healthily as I do, then those cookies need to be made with wholesome ingredients. Thankfully, these gluten-free Christmas cookie recipes are the answer. Because I want you and yours to have a merry Christmas, and not miss out on anything!

When I was growing up in Davis, a small town in Northern California, I used to make treats for all of our family’s friends. I wrapped the Christmas treats up in boxes that I bought from the local Chinese restaurant. This was in the 1970’s, long before the advent of Michael’s and other craft stores. I’d tie these gift boxes of cookies with pretty red ribbons, and then my parents would drive me all over town to drop off these homemade holiday gifts.

Now we use more festive containers, such as these adorable snow globe, santa, and snowman boxes. Though we rarely have enough leftover to give to friends and neighbors. There are often a dozen teenagers at our house after school eating everything I bake! Although it’s busy, and we do a ton of grocery shopping, I love that we are the house where everyone gathers.

Below are some of my favorite gluten-free Christmas treats that you can make for your loved ones too! Whether or not they make it out the door as Christmas gifts will depend on how many hungry guys you have at your house.

The Best Paleo Christmas Cookie Recipes

When I made piles of the healthy cookie recipes above, the boys and their friends were pretty darn happy. They had a paleo Christmas cookie feast and left me with a pile of crumbs. That’s how I like it! When the gang is in the mood for something savory over the holidays, I whip up my gluten-free latkes recipe which the boys absolutely adore!

I made sure that the list above is full of dairy-free Christmas desserts, so that everyone can get in on these holiday treats, regardless of their food restrictions. So go ahead and make some paleo Christmas cookies. Keep them for you and yours, or pack ’em up and spread ’em around as gifts. These gluten-free Christmas desserts taste so good that no one will ever know how healthy they are!

  4. I am sure these are all fantastic, but I am so hooked on your Chocolate Chip Scones that it seems to be the only baking I want to do lately.

  5. Dear Elana-

Thank you for all your time and efforts. Your work has been a huge part of helping me and my children stay grain free. Your openess and sharing has also been a source of strength, and camaraderie you are likely rarely made aware of. Thank you from a friend and her family – and Ill say it from the many of my friends who now enjoy more almond items thanks to me sharing foods I have made, your site, and bought books to give others too. We are …like your neighbors way way down the street :)

Happy Holidays to you and yours. <3

  6. This seems like the perfect time to say “thank you” for all your amazing recipes. I learned that I have Candida in Feb of this year which of course meant severe food changes. Your recipes have given me so many choices I wouldn’t have had otherwise. With a few changes (no honey or agava)I can whip up delicious treats and still keep my eating on track as I heal the Candida!

  7. You are making my mouth water, as always :)

Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season and New Years!

    Sending hugs :)
