Last night I had a hunkering for gluten free peanut butter cookies. I went over to Elise’s site, Simply Recipes, and found a yummy looking recipe for gluten-filled Peanut Butter Cookies. I experimented a bit, made a couple of changes to her recipe and came up with a nice gluten free cookie dough. In honor of Celiac Awareness Month, I have decided to make May my own personal cupcake month.  Today’s post is Jelly Donut (or Doughnut) Cupcakes, and I’m going to attempt to do a gluten free cupcake recipe every time I post in May –wish me luck!

We spent New Year’s in the mountains and partied a bit too hard with our friends Peter and Patrice. Though I did not drink a drop of alcohol, I somehow ended up with a contact hangover. Everyone around me was imbibing and I must have become intoxicated by association.

Product Review: Rigoni di Asiago

These delicious jams by fiordifrutta Rigoni di Asiago are made with 100% organic fruit. They’re juice sweetened –no cane sugar, fructose or other forms of processed sugar in disguise. This is the only organic jam I have found with no added sugar. The flavors are great!

My favorites are orange and raspberry jam, though they come in a large variety including rose hip, which is quite tasty as well.
