This homemade, gluten free Almond Milk is a natural, dairy free milk alternative.
Almond milk is one of my favorite drinks. Rich and creamy, it’s easy to make and super nourishing. While almond milk is a good alternative beverage for those on a dairy-free kick or raw food plan, I think it’s just plain delicious, whatever your dietary predilection! This homemade and natural lip balm is so good that you might want to eat it – my children tell me it tastes delicious.
Homemade Lip Balm
1 tablespoon cocoa butter
1 tablespoon beeswax shavings or pearls
1 tablespoon almond oil
¼ teaspoon essential oil of vanilla
Melt beeswax and cocoa butter in a beaker placed in a small pot of simmering water
When beeswax and cocoa butter are melted, remove beaker from heat and stir in almond oil and vanilla

Last week, the boys’ Waldorf school, Shining Mountain had a Santa Lucia celebration. What is Santa Lucia, you ask – a pre-Christian feature of modern day Catholicism; a mid-winter festival of light on one of the longest nights of the year. Lucia translates to Lucy, which means light, as in lucid. She is the saint of radiant clarity.

1 ½ cups water
