When the boys were little we used to have green eggs for breakfast everyday. They grew out of that phase a while ago and now I think this Green Eggs recipe is perfect for St. Patrick’s day.

As a Jew, Irish Soda Bread would not be something that comes naturally to me. However, over the years, I’ve received numerous requests for a gluten free, dairy free, gum free, high protein Irish Soda Bread. Well, here you have it.

I’m a bit of a cracker-a-holic. I think the quest for crunchy food intensifies when one goes gluten free. So, I’ve made a habit of baking crackers at least once a week, if not more. However, many cracker thieves dwell in my abode. As quickly as I make crackers they disappear. Therefore, some weeks, the cracker quest continues day in and day out.

I like to serve this delicious Orange Ginger Sauce with the gluten free Chicken Fingers from my book, The Gluten-Free Almond Flour Cookbook. It’s sweet enough that my children enjoy it and gingery enough for me –a perfect condiment for the entire family. I also like to dip steamed broccoli into this sauce. Did you know that I am obsessed with all things muesli? I have a recipe for muesli bread in my book, and I make just about everything else I can with muesli. While traditionally muesli has oats in it, I make mine grain free, as I follow as diet that is very close to Primal/Paleo.

In my opinion nature’s bounty of beautiful, nutritious vegetables is completely underrated. And beets are a perfect example of this. They brighten up any meal with their gorgeous earthy reddish-purple color and are highly nutritious to boot.

The recipe for these gluten free crackers comes from my friend Betsy
Don’t be confused by these gluten free Multi “Grain” Crackers. Because they are in fact gluten free and grain-free. That’s right, these crackers don’t contain grains. What are they made of? They contain a multitude of high protein, high fiber superfoods including almonds, flax and hemp.

We had a huge snowstorm here last night and I made my family a batch of this warming Mexican Hot Chocolate. A hot drink is perfect for a cold day, and it’s even better when warming spices such as cinnamon, chili and cayenne are added.

A piping hot bowl of this gluten free Broccoli Soup is the perfect dish for today. Why? We’re expecting a nice balmy high here in Boulder of 15 degrees, while we’re buried in snow from yesterday’s storm.

We’re back in town after an amazing vacation and I just can’t get enough grilled veggies. These grilled portabella mushrooms are my husband’s favorite.
I’ve been grilling everything though –zucchini, broccoli and lots of chicken. I’ll be posting a recipe for grilled broccoli before summer’s end. My grill is getting a really good workout these days!
Grilled Portabella Mushrooms
3 large portabella mushrooms
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon celtic sea salt
