These Green Chili Turkey Burgers are based on a fabulous recipe from Mark Sisson’s Primal Blueprint Cookbook. His recipe is actually called Fried Eggs Over Green Chili Burgers, and is yet another high-protein entree from the king of primal that my entire family enjoyed.

This recipe for quick and easy grilled salmon is based on Kalyn’s Grilled Salmon with Maple Syrup Glaze from Kalyn’s Kitchen. I find that her site is a fantastic source overall, and particularly for protein filled entrees. I had the pleasure of being on a panel at Blogher last year with Kalyn, and am looking forward to seeing her again this year. The Blogher Food Conference is less than 2 months away.

We’re back in town after an amazing vacation and I just can’t get enough grilled veggies. These grilled portabella mushrooms are my husband’s favorite.
I’ve been grilling everything though –zucchini, broccoli and lots of chicken. I’ll be posting a recipe for grilled broccoli before summer’s end. My grill is getting a really good workout these days!
Grilled Portabella Mushrooms
3 large portabella mushrooms
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon celtic sea salt
Clean mushrooms and cut off stems
Rub mushrooms with olive oil

This recipe for Grilled Zucchini is one of my favorites for several reasons. First, it’s a good way to use up the prolific zucchini of August. Second, it’s mighty easy to make. And third, it’s delicious. Let’s not forget reason number four though –zucchini and summer squash are a healthy side dish for any meal.

My younger son is a big fan of my Chipotle Orange Chicken and asks me to make it on a weekly basis. Since it’s perfect grilling weather, I decided to make a version of this recipe with chicken breasts that could easily be thrown on the grill –just in time for when they arrive home from baseball practice.
