This basic meatball recipe is easy to make. No frying! Flavored with shallot, tomato paste and a hint of Dijon mustard, these simple meatballs are incredibly tasty. My boys and their friends love them!
Meatballs are also a great make ahead dinner dish. Often, when I have a busy day, I’ll make these meatballs the night before, let them cool, and refrigerate them. The next evening, I throw them in a baking dish with a glass lid, cover them with […]

Serve tangy Mustard Lime Chicken for dinner with a side of asparagus, or any other healthy green vegetable.
I’m always on the lookout for quick and easy recipes for chicken breast, so I was mighty happy when a reader left this comment on my post for grilled Mustard Lime Chicken:

I’m kinda obsessed with these deviled eggs, and given that Easter is near, what could be more appropriate? They’re easy to make, full of protein and naturally gluten free to boot. My boys love to chow down on them after school and I like to snack on them all day long. Deviled Eggs are perfectly simple and elegant for a party, and make a great casual everyday type gluten free snack as well.
When I make these, I like to double the recipe below, […]

This super healthy Asparagus Basil Salad is a not just nutritious, it’s a treat for the palate. Trust me, it’s delectable, especially right now using wonderfully ripe vegetables at peak season. I found this recipe in Sunset Magazine. Actually, I didn’t find it, our family friend Mrs. Rose found it and made it for Mr. Rose’s 75th birthday, a fabulous little gathering that the boys and I attended when we were in Davis, California visiting my folks a couple of […]

Here’s a yummy way to eat your leftover turkey. Take a couple slices of gluten free Nutty Bread, lettuce, mustard and voilà, you have a delicious post-Thanksgiving meal in a sandwich. Personally, I would throw some leftover Cranberry Sauce on the side to add a little hit of color and flavor.
By the way, the turkey in the photo above is not turkey from Thanksgiving, it is a leftover photo using organic Applegate Farms turkey.

Here is one of my favorite sandwiches –the Turkey Club. It’s a sandwich on Nutty Bread with avocado, mustard and of course, turkey. It’s hot here, so I’m very happy to make sandwiches for dinner and not have to spark up the oven, stove or grill.
These gluten-free sandwiches are full of protein and tasty to boot. For me, the avocado makes a great whole food substitute for mayo (I’m not in the mood to make homemade mayo today either, though […]
