Spicy ginger and tart lime team up to make a mean mocktail.
I don’t drink alcohol, however, I absolutely love fun, girly drinks in fancy glasses. Hence, this deliciously refreshing, non-alcoholic beverage that I am calling a Ginger Lime Mocktail. I think you could also call this sparkling zesty drink liquid superfood. The ginger is full of anti-oxidants, good for digestion and is also anti-viral and anti-fungal. When the boys were little we used to have green eggs for breakfast everyday. They grew out of that phase a while ago and now I think this Green Eggs recipe is perfect for St. Patrick’s day.

With March approaching, I’m starting to think about the possibility of a spring detox and one of my favorite healing roots –dandelion. Dandelion is a fantastic liver cleanser and spring is the perfect season for liver support.

A piping hot bowl of this gluten free Broccoli Soup is the perfect dish for today. Why? We’re expecting a nice balmy high here in Boulder of 15 degrees, while we’re buried in snow from yesterday’s storm.

I love kale. My boys love kale. Even my husband goes for it. Kale is a universally favorite vegetable in our family. And boy am I lucky since it’s a superfood. Given our collective kale obsession, I am always looking for more ways to cook kale, and this is one of my favorites.

Last weekend my in-laws came out to Boulder to visit and I used them as guinea pigs for this new gluten free Herb Gravy. Thankfully this gravy passed the in-law test served over Mashed Cauliflower. My husband and children liked it too!

Oven Roasted Broccoli is a quick, easy and super healthy dish for your entire family.

I’m slightly obsessed with coleslaw these days, especially any coleslaw made with purple cabbage which I find to be delectably sweet and crunchy. I’m always craving a good crunch in my food.

I confess, I have an addiction to broccoli rabe. I love the bitter flavor of this delicious green vegetable. I have always believed that bitter is such an important, yet under rated flavor in our culture.
