Walnuts are high in protein (a half cup of walnuts contains about 15 grams), and rich in fiber and calcium. They are also full of Omega 3’s, the essential fatty acids commonly found in fish like salmon and sardines. Walnuts are considered a superfood.

I use antioxidant-rich walnuts in Double Chocolate Walnut Brownies, Walnut Crackers, and Banana Walnut Muffins.
